Rishi Sunak confirmed in his latest budget that the Stamp Duty Holiday will, as first rumoured, be extended to the end of June; with a further boost for property transactions up to £250,000 being extended until the end of September.
Branch Partner Philip Evans comments:
“This is clearly good news for all those transactions that feared not completing in time for the original March deadline and of course for those who have held off from moving this year, fearing they won’t save themselves thousands of pounds.
“Since the pandemic set in, the market has been surprisingly robust. Now with case levels easing, combined with this further support from the Government, the housing market is clearly going to enjoy a further flurry of activity.”
The Sharman Quinney Group reported a stunning 16% increase on property sales in February, compared to the same time last year.*
