RETIREMENT BUYERS MAKE A COMEBACK!

by Kevin Moll 19. February 2010 10:28

Since 2007 retirement buyers have been in short supply!  As prices plummeted in 2008, it's likely that a lot of retirement buyers put off the decision to downsize, but with the value of their own home increasing by anything up to 10% last year, and perhaps because of a hard winter and heating costs, we have seen a lot more retirement aged buyers than we have for over two years.

Since 1st January we have agreed sales on five retirement homes, ranging from flats to houses, and some of these properties have been on the market for over two years.  We have now more or less run out of stock and with few bungalows to sell, buyers looking for a retirement home, planning to downsize, may find it difficult to find what they want in 2010.  For anybody thinking of selling a bungalow or retirement home, for the first time since 2007 we  have a number of buyers waiting for such homes.
