When Claire from our office announced last weekend that she was having a sophisticated dinner party, we were all very impressed. I am not really sure what this involved, but I understand there was a silver candelabra and large portions of organic Beef Stifado, which I think was named after a famous Greek actor, anyway, I digress.
I am noticing more and more, as I inspect properties, that we are becoming quite sophisticated. Normally, I was offered a cup of Nescafé with some UHT milk. Now, more than ever, people are slipping a pod into their stainless steel coffee maker and offering me capuccino, espresso or other delights. I have also tasted shortbread biscuits and organic cookies - it really is a pleasure.
Buyers as well are becoming more discerning. They are asking how many white goods we have on offer in a property. Is there a waste disposal unit? Does the bathroom have a Jacuzzi? Is Broadband connected? Can we recommend a good caterer?
No problem for the boys and girls of Kevin Henry - we have all the contacts and can be as sophisticated as the rest of them!
