During the quieter month of August Kevin Henry, as part of their fund raising for Home-Start Uttlesford, pledged to donate £30 for every new property to sell. ‘We were delighted to list 29 properties during August and to be able to give another cheque to Home-Start’. The staff and directors of Kevin Henry have raised over £2000 so far this year with a cake stall, Christmas Card savings and most recently a Rock and Roll bingo night at The Railway, where £285 was raised. The staff are now getting in training for a 24 hour cyclathon which will take place on 31st of October at Market Street together with another cake stall and book stall. Home-Start Uttlesford are a great local charity and Kevin Henry are very happy to be helping to raise funds and promote them, particularly when funding from government is so difficult. "Home-Start helps families with young children deal with whatever life throws at them. We support parents at critical times, as they learn to cope, improve their confidence and build better lives for their children. Our vision is a society in which every parent has the support they need to give their children the best possible start in life."
